THE CONCEPT OF ASTROGEOGRAPHY

Astrocartography is one of several methods of locational astrology, which purports to identify varying life conditions through differences in location.
Astrocartography is the study of energetic influences and how they specifically apply to you based on your geographic location.

Astrocartography, (also called Astrogeography) is an underrated part of astrology. Luckily it seems that people are showing more and more interest in it thanks to the lovely Dara Dubinet.

“Any time we’re thinking of relocating, traveling, holding a retreat, or having a wedding, it’s good to know what energies the destination holds for us.” — astrologer Dara Dubinet

If you're thinking about moving to another country, even if it's for just a little while, astrogeography is a great way to find out how that location would be affecting you. Some places can be great for you while others it's best to be avoided.

Here's an example of what an Astrogeography Chart looks like.

It's best to avoid places on the map that are not on a line for the long-term. Don't let that fool you, that doesn't mean that all locations on a line are ideal. See, each line has a different color. That color represents an element of your chart. They all bring different energy into your life. Once you've chosen a line, keep in mind that the small circle on it indicates the place where the placement is in the zenith. This is where the maximum of this line effect is felt.

Line of the Sun: “The sun is good for being seen—it gives you a healthy dose of ego. I call it your fame and reputation [line].

Line of the Moon: “The moon represents the divine feminine. It has to do with mothering yourself and others.

Line of Mercury: “Mercury is the planet of communication. Places on your Mercury line would be great for writing a book or activating your interest in something.

Line of Venus: “Venus is the planet of love, beauty, and relationships, as well as design and style.

Line of Mars: “Mars is drive. It’s passion. If you want to feel lots of masculine energy, go somewhere on a Mars line.

Line of Jupiter “Jupiter is the planet of joy, expansion, and abundance. It’s a good one.

Line of Saturn “In the long term, places on your Saturn lines can be aging and bring too much responsibility. But they’re certainly good if you want to bring discipline and order into your life—like if you’re choosing where to go to college.

Line of Uranus: “If Saturn’s like the old man, Uranus is the teenage rebel. It comes in the form of surprises and change.

Line of Neptune: “Neptune is so spiritual, but you can’t see things clearly on a Neptune line. You wouldn’t necessarily want to live there.

Line of Pluto: “If you need to shake things up, go to a Pluto line—it’s gonna cause destruction, but also rebirth and growth.

Line of Chiron: “[The asteroid] Chiron is the magical healer. It gives a little bit of life purpose insight [by indicating] how we’re supposed to help others.

Line of the North and South Nodes: “These represent your karma and fate. [Places on the node lines] feel like home, almost as if you’d been there before.”
